How to play Beamkeeper
Beamkeeper is a short browser puzzle about one job: place every load on the seven-slot rail so the structure stays calm. You are not hunting a hidden answer. You are chasing the cleanest measurable arrangement.
How a run works
- Choose one handcrafted board or the deterministic daily beam.
- Tap a load card in the tray.
- Tap a slot on the rail to place that load.
- Repeat until all five loads are placed.
- Lock the layout to score the run.
What to watch while placing
- Torque: the pull created by weight and distance from the center pin. Lower is better.
- Side split: the difference between total load on the left and right side. Even sides usually score better.
- Outer risk: heavy pieces on the far edges add penalty even if the beam looks balanced.
- Cluster risk: two heavy neighbouring pieces on one side add extra strain.
Fast strategy tips
- Move your heaviest piece closer to the center first, then trim with the small pieces.
- Use the weight-1 or weight-2 load as a fine adjustment tool instead of wasting it in the middle too early.
- A visually even spread can still lose if the edge penalties climb.
- If the score is close, check the side split before changing everything else.
Who this is for
Beamkeeper is for players who like quick browser puzzles, calm optimisation loops, and short “one more try” sessions without accounts, downloads, or paywalls.
